Casita

Casita

Our guest cabin, or Casita (Spanish for little house) can comfortably accommodate a couple or small family.

The original Casita was constructed sometime in the 1940s, then expanded in the 1950s. It consists of one largish living/sleeping area, a small kitchen, bathroom with shower, and two closets. Total square footage is around 600. A wall AC/Heater keeps the temperature comfortable. In winter, the wood-burning fireplace insert will heat the whole place in a hurry.

The kitchen is nicely appointed, with a small fridge/freezer; microwave, electric toaster, heating kettle and a small gas stove. In order to enhance your nature experience, we’ve opted NOT to have a TV or telephone in the Casita. We do have wi-fi, though, so if you absolutely have to stay in touch, you can.

Overnight guests won’t have to worry about cooking, though, since they  have the option of having a delicious breakfast delivered to their doorstep at whatever time they choose in the morning. Breakfast can be light, such as fruit, granola, yogurt, and beverages; or it can be more hearty, and include a fritatta, or pancakes/waffles, eggs, fresh sourdough biscuits and more.
